I am a big stupid nerd

Gonna try out Qin: The Warring States with a little Great Game action from the Weapons of the Gods Companion on the side.

Also, finally checking out Hollow Earth Expedition after staring at the cover for years.

Because I’m not busy enough, obviously.

Good news and annoying news but then more good news!

First up. Volume 5, Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science #1 is available for pre-order. Here’s a five page black and white sample from that issue.

Our fourth trade paperback, Atomic Robo and Other Strangeness, was due to hit stores today. But it appears the business of shipping comics on time is a complicated one. They’ll have it ready for us next week. On the bright side, that gives you more time to order it from heavyink.com or amazon.com or your local retailer.

Oh, and check this teaser for The Fictory’s upcoming animated short, Atomic Robo: Last Stop.

Broken Archives?

I keep getting reports of “some” or “like half” of the images in my various archives not loading. I thank you for the alert, but it’s not actually helpful unless you send me links to the malfunctioning pages in question. ‘Cause everything is working fine for me and everyone I know.

So, if you come across a page that won’t load for you, drop me a line and then we can start to get to the bottom of it. Thanks!

Just skip this if you’re a dumb person

Because the content of this post is not for dumb people.

First: new Ace Combat eeeeeeeeeeeee! I don’t know, maybe that’s old news to the kind of people who like the AC series (i.e. fanatics), but there you go just in case.

Second: Lots of talk about the upcoming Space Marine console game and the 40k MMO.

I’ll be honest. I don’t care how much of an uninspired by-the-numbers WoW clone Dark Millennium may very well turn out to be. I just want to shoot Orks. The bit about Space Marines not being immediately available is interesting. I’m 100% down with playing a squad of Scout Marines or a platoon of Imperial Guard. Space Marines aren’t “all that” (the kids still say “all that”?) anyway. Everyone knows they’re just a stepping stone to becoming a Dreadnought.

For the Emperor*!

[EDIT: Interesting interview on Dark Millennium.]

*until Tau are playable, then fuck yooooou Imperium of Dorks.

August = Bizzaaay Time

Not to be confused with Business Time.

First, not gonna let my self-serving information totally bump the previous blog post. Short version: wanna help a little girl to raise money for cancer research? Because that’s a cool thing to do.

Okay, enough with saving the world, let’s talk about distracting you from its impending doom.

The first issue of The Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet hits comic shops all over the world Wednesday, August 18th! This is the first full issue of my first mini-series for the good folks at Marvel and I hope you’ll be on board to check it out. Why not take a gander of the first five pages while you’re sittin’ there gawkin’ at the screen.

The week after that, August 25th, Volume 4: Atomic Robo and Other Strangeness, the properly titled trade paperback collecting Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension #1 – 4 plus a buncha extras and crap rolls out for all you godless trade waiters — may maggots come pouring out your blackened hearts*!

*Naw, not really. I too am a vile trade waiter. Tell no one.
