The latest chapter of Dungeons & Doritos is live. Love it.
My ill-fated Captain America: The Fighting Avenger one-shot came out a couple weeks ago. I’d just like to thank everyone for supporting it. I wish we had the opportunity to share more of our vision of Cap with you guys, but these things happen when you play at the corporate level. You can get a very rough idea of what our plans for the series had been back in the halcyon days of when it could have been an on-going series right over here. Unrelated save for the title, Zack and his crew recently released a Captain America: The Fighting Avenger short film.
So, hey! Diamond Distribution finally gave us a release date for the last issue of Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science! It will drop MAY THE FOURTH (be with you). So, there’s still time to order it online or at your local shop. The trade paperback collection will be available in July along with the second print of Volume 2: Atomic Robo and the Dogs of War, which has been sold out since 2010.
Meanwhile, in between post-production on Vol 6, writing Vol 7, plotting Vol 8, and writing a Robo anthology series, I’m working on something for DC! Uh, the comics people, not the cesspool of politicians. Can’t say what it is yet, but I’m having fun with it so far.
Not so minor hiccup

You may have noticed ol’ Uncle NP.com was down for a couple days there.
In case you missed it, here’s the last page of Matt Speroni’s The Dreadful followed by the new page that would’ve gone up yesterday if not for the unpleasantness.
I’m still not sure what went wrong with the site, so I’ll just do what I always do in these situations and assume it was a causality casualty from war with an alternate timeline.
Rolling with that assumption on all of life’s little problems can give you a terrific perspective on things. Y’know? “Augh, fuck. It’s raining!” becomes, “Huh, it’s raining,” and then with a bemused nod, “Typical 31st century Mega-Etruscan tactic.”
And then when your friends look at you weird, you can give them a pitying gaze, clutch their heads to your bosom, and lament that they too have been affected by the wars. Something like, “Oh, you poor dear. You’ve no memory of what never shall be.”
I don’t have many friends anymore.
Not since the war took them.

The biggest Nerdy Show production outside of, uh, Nerdy Show is D&D: Dungeons & Doritos.
If you’re unfamiliar with our take on D&D, lemme break it down.
* Live, improvised tabletop roleplaying (by a bunch of morons)
* Newest ep is a jumping on point for new listeners (probably not a bunch of morons)
* Why it’s awesome – It’s what happens when a bunch of morons sit around trying to out-moron one another and then sometimes dice get rolled. In other words: it’s just like your own tabletop group but on the internet!
* It’s a new season, so all-new storyline and easy to pick up. If you’re into origins, the original episodes can be found right here.
* Updated character sheets. Hey, you’re a big nerd listening to a D&D podcast. Character sheets, updated or not, are straight up your alley.

Been keeping up with Matt’s The Dreadful? The site’s been a little odd about new pages displaying hours after they’re actually updated.
What about that How I Killed Your Master thing? Well, all I can say is I signed an NDA saying I can’t say why I haven’t had a chance to write new pages. This is quite frustrating as we’re very near the end of the current chapter, and the next one will take us very near the end. Like, of the whole thing! Thank you, everyone, for your patience. Please trust that I’m itching to jump back on it as soon as I can.
Okay, so remember that Iceman & Angel #1 comic I did? Well, Atomic Robo editor and Avengers and the Infinity Gauntlet co-writer Lee Black wrote Cyclops #1. It features interior art by Dean Haspiel and more Batroc action than you could shake the Circus of Crime at. It comes out Wednesday, please check it out!
Do you live in North Carolina? If so, come to Ultimate Comics and do this thing for Free Comic Book Day:
Oh, and the Dr. Dinosaur and Atomic Robo statues are available. Check ’em out!
Oh, and Mr. Scott Wegener and I will be speaking at the Academy of Art in San Francisco this Thursday for their second annual Comics Symposium. We’ll be on a panel where we pretend to know what we’re doing!
